Director Craig Brewer of ‘Hustle & Flow’, who cast Justin Timberlake in his upcoming ‘Black Snake Moan’, tells The New York Post the former *NSYNC star can be commended for attempting his break into film with a series of supporting roles. “Let’s be honest, with a pop star, you can kind of write your own ticket with a cheesy way to get into movies,” Brewer explained. “Justin could have done a ‘Glitter’ or something where he was the lead, but he began making these interesting choices for supporting roles.”
