The New York Daily News reports Tommy Mottola was recovering yesterday from surgery at New York Weill Cornell Medical Center. While one source said the Casablanca Records chief had undergone an “operation on his stomach,” Mottola’s spokesman Howard Rubenstein said the husband of Thalia was treated for appendicitis.
