Too Much, Too Soon For Britney Spears?

Britney Spears debuted her new album ‘Circus’, announced a tour and performs on ‘Good Morning America’ for her 27th birthday on Tuesday. ‘Showbiz Tonight’ has the details, wondering if the schedule is too much, too fast for the fragile pop tart. Hammer spoke with Blender magazine’s Joe Levy and ‘Extra’ correspondent Tanika Ray.

Asked if her performances on ‘GMA’ were the Britney we were waiting to see, Levy responded, “This was good. It wasn’t great. Let’s face it. She was doing a lot of dancing with her hands. And through the rest of it, she seemed to be walking. But you know, compared to the MTV Video Music Awards a little more than a year ago, at least this time, she was definitely awake and knew where she was. That’s a step forward.”

As for that busy schedule, Tanika said, “No, she built a career on too much, too soon. She was very young. Her normal pace is go, go, go, go, go from one country to the next, promoting movies, promoting her album. That is her normal state of mind, her normal pace. So no I don’t think it’s too much. I think she is happiest when she’s performing, when she’s on stage, when she can feel the love from the audience. So, it`s the perfect place for her to find herself again, so I do not think it`s too much, too soon.”
