Tour Riders Re-Created As Art Displays

MSNBC’s Jeannette Walls reports artists Jennifer and Kevin McCoy have collected the items named in tour rider contracts, put them on a mirrored table, and encased the goodies in glass as a form of art. “We’re recreating band riders in this literal way to help the viewer get backstage with the celebrities, to participate in the VIP-room experience, but the items are also under glass, so the viewer still can’t get behind the velvet ropes, so to speak,” Kevin McCoy said. The couple are selling the pieces for $7,500 each.
