Cubby
- That was a lot of fun man

Nick
- Oh yeah. Awesome

Cubby
- You guys do a lot of shows?

Nick
- Yeah I mean…I just…I bounce around here & there. Doin’ some stuff with him, but uh…right now he’s on tour by himself

Cubby
- How much did you loose?

Nick
- I lost, like 20 pounds in 2 months or something like that

Cubby
- Well did you do, like the Akins diet?

Nick
- 20 pounds in a month or something like that. I don’t know.
I just started eating, like properly. (laughs)

Cubby
- (laughs) Yeah you were a junk food junkie

*Takes Break*

Cubby
- New Yorks number 1 hit music station. It’s Cubby, hangin’ out with the very thin Nick Carter

Nick
- (laughs)

Cubby
- Welcome to Z100 man

Nick
- Your lookin good yourself

Cubby
- Thank you very much

Nick
- You are

Cubby
- We gotta get you a cot in here. You’re up here all the time

Nick
- (laughs)

Cubby
-Seriously. You’ve been here a lot in the last two years.

Nick
- Yeah we have

Cubby
- We appreciate it

Nick
- I was just here recently

Cubby
- So whats goin on? You’ve got a brand new song. It’s solo time

Nick
-Yeah

Cubby
- How long have you been workin on this?

Nick
- Uh…for the past..well since..uh Febuary. But um…I’ve been workin my butt off. I recorded 37 songs & umm I had to decide out of the 37 songs, what would be the first single & uh I’ve been working really hard on it & it’s been a really fun experience because I’ve been able to uh just um get a lot of stuff out that I’ve been holding in since I was a little kid ya know. Touring around the world & things like that & I was starting to write & um figure out myself & find myself in a way. It’s been a exp…well that’s how it’s been for me so…

Cubby
- It’s weird talkin to you without Brian or somebody chimming in. It’s weird, like

Nick
-It’s weird huh? (laughs)

Cubby
- Is this your first interview without the guys?

Nick
- Well yeah. My first radio interview.

Cubby
- It’s pretty cool right?

Nick
- Yep. First time for everything

Cubby
- Whats…Backstreet Boys. You guys are fine right?

Nick
-Yeah

Cubby
- I mean let’s clear up any rumors right now. You guys aren’t breaking up?

Nick
- No. We’re fine. I mean…it’s just takin a lot longer…workin on the album uh…for them right now since I’m gonna be releasing some stuff for myself.

Cubby
- Are you doing both?

Nick
- Yeah. I wanna definitly do both

Cubby
- So do you have time for a personal life? Or are you pretty much doin your thing & BSB stuff & then your thing

Nick
- Well I mean at this paticular point. I’m just really concentrating on the stuff that I’ve been wanting to do for so long by myself & that’s what I’ve been doing so..

Cubby
- I wanna talk to some die hard fans that have been on hold
forever. This is Hayley. Hi Hayley

Girl
- It’s Harley

Cubby
- I’m sorry. Harley. That’s right, like the motorcycle.

Girl
- Yeah something like that

Cubby
- Harley

Girl
- What?

Cubby
- Your on with Nick

Girl
- Hi

Nick
- How are you?

Girl
- Oh my god

Nick
- (laughs)

Girl
- How are you?

Nick
- I’m really good

Girl
- I just wanna tell you. I’m gonna be 27 next week

Nick
- MmmHmm

Girl
- I drag friends to concerts. We do everything. I get made fun of

Nick
- Why?

Girl
- Because they say I’m 27 & I shouldn’t be..

Nick
- Oh my god

Girl
- It’s alright though. I stand my ground

Nick
- Don’t listen to ‘em

Girl
- I will love you guys forever

Nick
- Do whatever you wanna do (laughs)

Cubby
- Exactly

Girl
- Hmm

Cubby
- Do you have a question for Nick?

Girl
- Ummm What’s it like. What was it like recording without them.

Nick
- What was it like recording without the guys? That was a good question. Umm just..I mean

Cubby
- Lonely

Nick
- It was..well it was a little different because you don’t have 4 other uh different opinions ya know? Things that ya know when your in a group you have to kind of uh ya know give a little and take a little. It’s more…its not all you ya know? & that’s what makes a group. But when its yourself it’s like you can almost just throw everyhting out onto the table & just see how its gonna be. It’s kind of…very experimental & that was the fun part cuz I uh ya know I’ve always been very big…rock influenced..all my life. New rock & roll & old rock & roll

Girl
- Yeah

Nick
- And so I wanted to definitly add that element to the music like uh pop ya know to the pop and make like a pop/rock type element But it’s a little new a little different & fresh so…but soo its really..been really cool to create & just kinda come up with something different

Girl
- Yeah & when’s it gonna be available?

Nick
- Umm I think October 29th is the release date now for the album

Girl
- Cool

Nick
- MmmHmmm

Cubby
- Thanx a lot Harley

Girl
- Thanx

Cubby
- Yeah so album comes out October. Will people be able to buy the single? Are you putting out a single?

Nick
- Well I don’t believe so in the US. I don’t think uh..outside the US probably the uh..Com..uh

Cubby
- Commercial

Nick
- Yeah commercial single
