Trendspotter’s Close Call Prompts Ashlee’s Tsunami Action

The New York Daily News reports Ashlee Simpson caught involved with Teen People in their tsunami relief effort after meeting the magazine’s in-house “trendspotter” Jennifer Serlin at her cover shoot. Serlin was vacationing in Phuket when the killer wave hit, and barely made it out alive. Simpson then got on the phone with pals and got them to donate goods for their UNICEF fundraising auction.
