NBC4 in Los Angeles reports opening statements are scheduled Thursday in a trial of a lawsuit against Paulina Rubio, who allegedly skipped performing at last year’s Auto Show to vacation in Acapulco. The Los Angeles Superior Court trial is expected to take about two weeks. In a suit filed in April 2003, Pacific Communications Group, a Michigan corporation with a main office in Torrance, claims the Grammy nominee and Mexico City native signed to do an “attention-grabbing” concert as Mercedes- Benz unveiled a C-Class model.
