TRL Diary On Justin Timberlake’s Appearance

John Schultz, Senior Production Assistant of MTV’s Total Request Live writes of the appearance by *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake on September 23rd: “We all knew that Monday was going to be a long and crazy day. Justin Timberlake is one of the biggest pop stars in the world right now, so there was a lot of pressure to make sure that the show went smoothly. So, I ended up getting to work a few hours early to finish up a highlight package showing all of Justin’s moments on TRL from 1998 to today. Yeah, that’s right…while most of my friends from college are consulting with financial clients, studying in med school, or arguing a legal case in front of a judge, I’m spending my Monday morning watching clips of Justin Timberlake dancing and singing on the TRL stage…eh, it’s all part of the job, right? Anyway, the show went off without a hitch. In fact, we had more Holla Backs than ever before…it was ridiculous to see how many fans wanted to write a message to Justin.”
