Tyler Hilton Finishes Recording His New Album

updated fans on his blog at MySpace on Thursday (September 10), talking about the final day of recording for his third album. The singer songwriter tells readers:

Today I’m back in the studio for what should be the final day of recording. Matt’s telling me I need to fix a couple back ground vocals and otherwise just listen to all 6 tunes we recorded and make sure we love everything before sending it off to be mixed. For those of you who aren’t studio savvy, mixing is like editing a film. You film the movie then you send it to an editor to make sure the color of the movie is consistent, the sound all works together, and the spaces between scenes are seamless. Same with mixing. After today we’ll have recorded all the instruments and have decided to have Chris Lord Algai (who did mixed a lot of my last record and has already mixed some other tunes from this one) nail ‘em. He’ll take all the tracks of instruments and make sure they all sound good together. It’s very boring for me to explain past that. Just know that it means, final stages. Once it’s mixed we send it to a mastering house to be mastered. I don’t know why we do this, but every record is mastered. It’s just another step to drive fans crazy. I think we go in with Chris on the 24th or 26th…moving along! I’ll find out more today. So! That’s where it all is.
