As David Beckham and his former Spice Girl wife Victoria embark on a new life in Spain, Reuters reports Britain’s celebrity watchers are scouring their gossip magazines for a new couple to take over as the nation’s unofficial king and queen. “The truth is that Posh and Becks are irreplaceable,” said Mark Frith, editor of Heat, one of Britain’s best-known celebrity magazines. “I don’t believe there’s anyone out there at the moment who are a mega-couple on the level of Posh and Becks.” While Kylie Minogue is a huge hit in Britain, few people know or care about her actor boyfriend Olivier Martinez — perhaps because he is French.
