‘Under My Skin’ Marks A Leap Forward For Avril Lavigne

Johnny Dee of The Times of London reviewed ’s latest effort, ‘Under My Skin’, giving it 4 out of 5 stars. He writes, “After selling 15 million copies of her debut album, Lavigne appears to be asserting some control over her career, ditching the pop production team the Matrix and co-writing instead with the Canadian singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk. The results on their six collaborations present a far deeper and more interesting figure, particularly on the epic ballad ‘Slipped Away’ and the wonderfully arranged ‘How Does it Feel’ – suddenly one can imagine the 19-year-old Lavigne as a credible artist whose fanbase extends beyond the playground.”
