USA Today music critic Ken Barnes chatted with readers on the paper’s website earlier today, and commented on *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake, the new Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey MTV reality show ‘Newlyweds’, Mandy Moore, and ‘American Idol’ star Clay Aiken. On Timberlake, Barnes said, “I think he’ll be around for some time to come. He seems dedicated, is talented, well-connected and seems likely to instill needed variety in his music.” As for Moore, “Mandy’s is pretty interesting. I really like the quirky song selection of covers. Some of the versions work better than others, but rarely if ever does she indulge in the diva excesses of her contemporaries, so I’d have to say it’s a success.” Read more.
