USO Hosts Free Hollywood Concert For Service Members

From USO.org: WASHINGTON –The USO is hosting a May 10 “Salute to the Troops” concert, free for service members and their families, at the Hollywood & Highland Entertainment Complex in the heart of Hollywood. The outdoor concert in Babylon Court will be hosted by actor Tom Arnold and feature performances by veteran USO tour performer Nancy Sinatra, pop singer Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, former vocalist with the group 98 Degrees.
The two-hour concert begins at 3 p.m.; gates will open at 2 p.m. The Babylon Court in The Hollywood & Highland Entertainment Complex is located at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard. Limited seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and Department of Defense identification cards are required for those who wish to be seated. Dress for the seating area will be military uniforms for military personnel.
Known for her 1966 #1 hit ”These Boots Are Made for Walkin’,” Sinatra’s upcoming release re-teams her with long-time collaborators Lee Hazlewood and Billy Strange. She currently is on an East Coast tour. Jessica Simpson, who released her debut album “Sweet Kisses” in 1999, also is a USO tour veteran. Nick Lachey is currently pursuing a solo career and will debut his album later this year.
The USO is hosting the event in partnership with Larry Post, chairman of MW Post advisory group, a money management firm. The event also is sponsored by the Hollywood & Highland Entertainment Complex, along with USO World Partners Amazon.com, Anheuser-Busch, AT&T, BAE SYSTEMS, Clear Channel Worldwide, Coca-Cola, PricewaterhouseCoopers, S&K Sales Company, USAA Foundation, VFW and The Walt Disney Company.
