Vanessa Carlton checked in with fans on her official site’s message board on Saturday, where she’s staying in London. Carlton said, “I actually have the night off tonight! I’m not sure if that’s good considering every time I take a stroll and step off a curb I almost get hit by a car. I swear I’ve almost died twice.
My dad is here! I’ve missed him. He’s out here flying (he’s a pilot). At the moment, he’s snoring on the couch in my hotel room. I’m off to Sweden tomorrow. I know it must sound so glamorous, but all I really see is a hotel room and an airplane cabin. I miss the states. I miss my bed. I miss my piano! I realized that I haven’t mentioned how grateful I am to all of those that went out and bought my record. I hope to provide much listening pleasure for the rest of my life, or at least until I can’t play anymore. Much love.”
