Before Vanessa Carlton left Japan to return to the U.S. on Wednesday, the singer checked in with fans on her official site’s forum. Carlton writes, “Hey there. I get to come back home tomorrow. I actually have a few days off! It’s so strange to be in a country that is so foreign to me and yet so many people know of my music over here. I kind of feel like Japan’s foster kid. It’s cool. Of course my real home is the states. I adore you guys. I’m looking forward to growing old with you all. It’s gonna be a fun ride together. And that concludes my 10:28pm thought.”
