Vanessa Carlton Follows Her Own Rules In Debut

Extra TV profiled Vanessa Carlton on Saturday. Carlton described her debut ‘Be Not Nobody’ album saying, “I was always striving to create a record that was purely my vision, and I knew I didn’t have to follow any rules but my own.” As for which artists she looks up to, Carlton said, “I admire the Grateful Dead. I admire Janice Joplin, Stevie Nicks, and Pink Floyd.”
