Vanessa Carlton Performs In New York, Gets Slammed In NY Post

The New York Post reports Vanessa Carlton's performance at Joe's Pub on Tuesday night (November 20) and "was all over the place" according to a disappointed concertgoer. "She was babbling incoherently and blaming it on antibiotics," the source explained. "She forgot her song lyrics several times and even stopped singing completely during one song." But is Carlton being unfairly smeared? Three songs from the concert have been posted online, and show no signs of troubles. A review of the show by HoppersMusic.com did indicate that Carlton forgot lyrics to 'All Is Well', a track that didn't get released on her new CD 'Heroes & Thieves' and thus probably was unfamiliar to the singer/songwriter, blaming it on a cold pill she'd taken earlier. But otherwise, there was no mentions of any errors. Check out the three performances below the fold.
