Vanessa Carlton Strongly Displays Her Broad Musical Palette

Bill White of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reviewed Vanessa Carlton’s concert at Crocodile Cafe in Seattle on November 20th, which was part of RollingStone.com’s ‘Original Concert’ series. White writes, “Performing solo on a baby grand piano, the new songs came across much stronger than the overproduced recorded versions.” He added, “Although frequently compared to young female rockers such as Michelle Branch, Carlton displays a broader musical palette and is reverenced more like a Tori Amos.” Read more.
