Vanessa Hudgens & Zac Efron’s First Interview As A Couple

‘Extra’ caught up with Zac Efron and his ‘High School Musical’ co-star Vanessa Hudgens backstage at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. When Efron removed his jacket and gave it to his girlfriend Vanessa, ‘Extra’ correspondent Jerry Penacoli said, “Let’s just do this V. Let’s just talk about how sweet your boyfriend is to give you his jacket… come on.” Hudgens laughed and responded, “You said it first.”

Efron in the past had refused to comment on their relationship status, but with Vanessa going public about it in Seventeen magazine for their February 2008 issue, he appears to be letting his guard down. As for Zac and his co-stars Ensemble Performance Award, Vanessa gushed that she was “Very proud, he earned it!”

Vanessa also was asked for her thoughts on troubled pop tart Britney Spears and her showdown with police over her child custody dispute and subsequent 36-hour lockdown at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. “Honestly, I just wish her all the best.
