Verbier Welcomes Tax Dodging James Blunt With Open Arms
Dignitaries in Verbier, Switzerland were so pleased with news James Blunt was moving to the winter resort to avoid paying taxes on the fortune he earned from debut album ‘Back To Bedlam’, they dedicated a lift to him. Patrick Messeiller, Verbier’s director of tourism, said: “He is the godfather of the new lift. It is an honor. Diana Ross, a popular celeb in Verbier, has been godmother of a lift since 1998.”
