Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Wednesday night, “Folks, it’s official we have a a new ‘American Idol’. Yeah. We tape our show early, we don’t know who won, but I can tell you who lost tonight: NBC, ABC, CBS. … That’s all you saw everywhere today, pictures of Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee, the gray-haired guy and the young beautiful woman. Or as we call that in California, second marriage.”
