Jessica Simpson stopped by Elements boutique in Chicago the other day. Not recognizing her immediately, a salesperson asked the ‘Newlyweds’ star where she was from. When Simpson said, “L.A.,” the clerk quipped, “What are you? A rock star?” Jessica responded, “Actually … sort of … I’m Jessica Simpson!” The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the singer purchased a Message Connextion bracelet as a birthday gift for a girlfriend.
