What Is The Argument About, Really?

Why is it always Christina Aguilera vs. Britney Spears or vice versa? I like them both but as far as great talents and great artists go, neither is respected in the business. They’re just starting to write and perform their own songs, until they prove that they have songwriter talent they will never be respected in the business (sorry but being beautiful is not a talent). You all act like these are the only 2 female artists in the world, always comparing and pitting them against each other. What about other female artists who have written and performed their own songs from the start? Artists who have proven themselves such as Madonna, Jewel, Alanis Moirrisette, Nora Jones, Janet Jackson, Michelle Branch, Carley Simon, The Bangles, Pat Bennitar, etc. Christina is just starting to prove that she has the potential to write her own songs. Next month, Britney will try to prove that she has that potential too. As far as images go, they have the same image (whether you want to admit it or not, they do).
I don’t think Britney’s copying Christina or Christina’s copying Britney, if anything they’re copying Madonna. She’s done everything they have and more with a lot more style, pizzazz, and umph than these 2 will ever have. In my opinion: Christina fans are upset because no matter what Christina does, Britney gets 10X more publicity than Christina (the kiss). Britney fans are upset because no matter what Britney does she gets bashed for it, even when it’s something everyone does.
I don’t understand how you can say you hate someone but you read everything about him/her, download all him/her interviews and view all him/her pictures. How can you be that consumed with someone you hate, someone that has no idea you even exist. You guys argue back and forth for nothing. Christina fans are gonna stay Christina fans, no matter what you say. Britney fans are gonna stay Britney fans, no matter what you say. So why bother arguing about it. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think everyone should like everyone but you all take this FAKE Christina/Britney rivalry too far.
I really just don’t understand the argument you guys have here every single day. What is it about, really.
