Whibley Nearly Gets Clocked After Spitting Incident
The New York Post reports 17-year-old Avril Lavigne nearly got caught in a bar brawl early yesterday at Lit on Second Avenue after boozing with Sum 41. The band’s frontman Deryck Whibley spit in a patron’s face after he locked himself in the bathroom and was laughed at by the patron. Sum 41’s tour manager whisked Whibley out of the bar, along with Avril, before the heckler could land a punch, then returned to apologize and bought the peeved patron and his pal a round of drinks.
