Why Is This Woman A Star?

Mariah Carey. The new “It Girl” of 2005, but is this the same girl who just 5 years ago was one of the most hated woman in the world, severely unstable (mentally and physically), with a career hitting rock bottom, not even a decade after her debut album? So now she’s back in the charts, but why? Has she changed her image? Has she produced an amazing pop record and won new fans? No. She’s the exact same Mariah singing nice little songs about love and boys and loving boys and not much else. Sure she’s won over commercial mainstream America but will it last? How long before her fans lose and interest again and abandon her again like last time?
