Why Kelly Osbourne Took On ‘Life As We Know It’

Globe magazine reports Kelly Osbourne explaining why she took on the role of a fat high school student named Deborah in the ABC series ‘Life As We Know It’. “If you don’t have a flat stomach in today’s society, you’re considered fat,” she said. “If I can help someone who thinks she’s fat and is insecure, and then sees the show and says, ‘Well, she’s overweight and maybe not the most beautiful girl in the world, but she’s cool and people like her,’ then that’s the main reason I took the role.”
