Will ‘American Dreamz’ Pull A Profit?

Opening weekend figures for Mandy Moore’s new film ‘American Dreamz’ were a disappointment, with the film only grossing $3.69 million for April 21-23, well behind ‘Silent Hill’, which debuted at #1 with $20.2 million. The ‘American Idol’ spoof, with a budget of $17 million, was only at 1,500 theaters, with a per theater average of $2,460.
