The Chicago Sun-Times has new details on the Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony marriage running into trouble after his so-called “quickie” divorce from former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres last Tuesday because of a 60-day waiting period for divorces under Dominican law. Attorney Ron Anteau, a well-known Beverly Hills divorce expert, told this column Thursday “California will honor a divorce … if it meets the circumstances of all parties involved and the law.” But Anteau added a key “kicker”: If Dominican law indeed includes a 60-day waiting period, “Anthony wasn’t divorced when he married [Lopez], potentially making him guilty of bigamy … It could make the marriage null and void … indeed a very twisted plot out here in La-La Land.”
