Lisa Verrico of The Times of London was on hand for ‘Pop Idol’ season one champ Will Young’s gig at Wembley Arena in London. Verrico writes, “Five giant video screens with great graphics, a tight troupe of dancers, four backing singers, countless musicians and several costume changes helped the former politics student to wow a crowd made up mainly of women, ranging in age from teenagers to the over fifties. Admittedly, they also helped to mask the fact that Young had a fair number of bland songs in his set. His fans didn’t seem to notice. In a two-hour set, there wasn’t one number that wasn’t greeted with rapturous applause, a standing ovation or a mass singalong.”
