YM.com Talks With ‘American Idol’ Finalists

YM.com spoke with several of the ‘American Idol’ finalists, including Tamyra Gray, Nikki McKibbon, Justin Guarini, and the show’s winner Kelly Clarkson. When Kelly was asked what her high point on the show was, she responded, “The best moment for me was when I realized that I actually really wanted this. This is a public life now, and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do that part of it and put my family and friends through that. The defining point was during my performance of ‘Natural Woman.’ I was on stage and the crowd was just going crazy, and I was like, I think I can do this and be okay with the fact that people will be all up in my business. I mean, I come from a small town, so I’m used to people knowing everything anyway. I’m not bad. I don’t do anything wrong, so..”
