Reem Acra designed the dress Jennifer Lopez chose for her first walk down the aisle with Ben Affleck in their movie ‘Jersey Girl.’ But on their real life wedding day, will art imitate life? Acra says, “To tell you the truth, it’s not a Jennifer dress,” he tells Extra TV. “It’s what her character portrays in the movies.” But Reem does have a few ideas on what Jennifer might wear when she walks down the aisle for real. She says, “I can see her in a ball gown. A bit more conservative with a beautiful veil over it.”

January 1, 2003 – Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Tuesday, “Tomorrow is the Rose Parade, and I tell you, they got some beautiful floats. I was down there earlier today. They have one float, made entirely out of old Jennifer Lopez wedding bouquets. Just beautiful. About 100 feet long. Lovely. Beautiful.”
Kevin Smith Talks ‘Jersey Girl’
January 1, 2003 – Paula Zahn spoke with director Kevin Smith about the year in movies and asked him about his upcoming ‘Jersey Girl’ flick starring Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. Asked if they were a couple during filming he said, “They — I guess they had started dating right before we started rehearsing. So, they had been together for about a week, two weeks, and then suddenly we were rehearsing, and they were a couple, which was kind of great, because they were playing a couple falling in love in movie. So, the onscreen chemistry was mirrored by their offscreen chemistry.” As for whether he had to fake anthing, he insisted, “Didn’t have to fake a thing, and hopefully, next year we’ll be sitting here talking about that movie and not you’re referring to it in ‘Swept Away’ terms. Barneys Turns Down J-Lo So-Lo Shopping Request
January 1, 2003 – Star magazine reports Jennifer Lopez and her entourage went shopping recently at Barneys in New York City. J.Lo got tired of staring fans and asked her personal shopper if they would close the store so she and her pals could shop alone. While they’ve done it for other mega-stars like Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow, management said no to her. Salespeople say the diva is difficult, demanding, and not a huge spender.
