Ashlee Simpson Runs Crying To Jessica After Orange Bowl Disaster
The National Enquirer reports that in the wake of her ‘Saturday Night Live’ lip-synching debacle and her performance at the Orange Bowl which was greeted with a chorus of boos, Ashlee Simpson has turned to her big sister Jessica Simpson for support. “It’s all getting too much for Ashlee and she’s crying on her sister’s shoulder,” revealed a close source. “Jessica doesn’t want to see her sister crack under the strain of these setbacks.” An insider added, “Jessica’s really worried about Ashlee, fearful she’s going to crack if the setbacks keep coming.”
Ashlee Simpson Avoids Tough Interviews
Dreading the prospects of discussing getting booed at the Orange Bowl, Ashlee Simpson canceled a series of interviews set up by Thermasilk. “She really only wants to talk to the beauty press right now,” a rep for the shampoo brand Simpson is hawking explained to The New York Daily News’ Ben Widdicombe.
Lindsay, Simpson Sisters, Britney Make Worst Dressed List
Pop stars are a frequent occurrence for Mr. Blackwell’s Worst Dressed List announced on Tuesday. Lindsay Lohan came in second behind ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Nicollette Sheridan. Blackwell said of the teen queen: “When it comes to fashion, she’s in a schizophrenic frenzy!” Ashlee Simpson and Jessica Simpson tied for third, Paris Hilton slipped to number five, and Britney Spears came in seventh.

I still don’t understand why she ran and played the Orange Bowl anyway I mean geez she had just played on Dick Clark’s New Years Eve Show. Sometimes I think labels can over promote and over work artist by now we all know who she is and what she does they need to give people a chance to take it all in. Personally even though not a fan I don’t think she’s that bad but they are ruining her career by over exposing her.
Yeah, but the thing is all the other people that lip synch:’, ‘are 1) not bad enough to get caught like that 2) girls with some serious sex appeal (Britney, Beyonce, Jennifer, etc…) 3) Girls with careers that have spanned more than a week 4) Not done it on a show called “Saturday Night Live” (even Britney sang live) 5) Not making up dumb excuses about their band, acid reflux, machine glitches etc.
I know that but seriously, (and I am not a fan of hers in NO way) (RO)’, ‘I read on another forum that over 48,000 people signed a petition against her because she lip-synchs. That was it. They didn’t like her because she lip-synchs. That is what upsets me. I mean, if you have the time to pick on 1 lip-syncher, then they should do the same 4 others, no matter what they have/don’t have. It’s just being hypocritical to me.
People need to get over the SNL thing. It’s over and done with. I felt sorry for her after watching that performance. Her face expression was priceless though. She was like all happy & stuff after her performance, then you start hearing all these BOO’s and her face drops. It wasn’t that bad — the performance but It sucks for her.
well she should be happy she got this far..’, ‘considering she is a talentless poser she should be thankful her album went platinum before anyone realized how much she really sucked.. not even Jessica who has half way decent pipes could pull off a platinum album first time around.. so stop the crying Ashlee be lucky your album sold one copy with that crappy voice.
Ashlee such a little hypocrite. I thought she said it didn’t bother her that she got booed? Well, obviously it does. It’s also funny how on her show she acts like she pretty much wants nothing to do with Jessica, but as soon as something bad happens, Jessica is the first person she turns to.
I think Ashlee’s problem is that she has a TON OF EXCUSES!!! When the SNL disaster happened, she blamed it on her band and then said she had acid reflex. Ok, Whatever. But now, she said that maybe half of the stadium was rooting for one team and the other half was rooting for another team, so maybe they werent booing her after all…NOT. Ashlee needs to take responsibility for once and just get her s*it together! Because afterall, actions speak louder than words.
What did people expect?’, ‘Does anyone believe that someone wouldn’t be hurt by getting booed for no reason. Nobody can say that she lip synched. You are damn if you do, damn if you don’t. BTW on SNL her drummer did screw up by starting the wrong track. And she did have a problem with her voice. I’m sure that SNL producer didn’t put any pressure on her to perform anyway. After all they should be able to replace a live band within 2 or 3 hours notice. People have to get over it. She lip synched that time only under the pressure of SNL that couldn’t find another band to replace her. If the use of backtrack is so condemning they should bust Pink Floyd. They are the biggest user of back track. U2 use it at profusion as well. You want proof: how can one or two guitarist can play 3 different partition at the same time. They use backtrack for that reason. How come Amy Lee was able to pronounce to word at the same time at the Billboard award. Lip synching is not as common as people would like to believe it is very rare.
People who are naive don’t look farther than the’, ‘head of their nose to know what the truth is. And it is not because everyone is stupid enough to think that everyone lip synch that I will be as stupid as them and jump down the bridge. You are the naive one to believe the person that don’t like her. That is exactly what they want. I have seen her six time now and everytime was live.
Crucify me if you must, but I think Ashley’s voice is way better and more listenable than Jessica’s. Jess sounds like some beauty pageant contestant. She has NO soul in her voice. Ashley has a little edge to her vocals and that, for me, goes a lot further than mere lung power any day.
I just wanted to say that I love Ashlee Simpson’s music with all my heart and I want to spend the rest of my life listening to it because her music has been the best thing that has ever happened to me ever since she came into the music industry back in 2004. I would be lost if she ever decides to stop making music because making music is what she lives for. I don’t care if she got caught lip-synching to her first single, “Pieces Of Me” on Saturday Night Live back in 2004, I will always guard and protect her heart from all of those haters out there who puts her down because she had acid reflux. They all need to get over the lip-synching incident and move on like the way Ashlee did because it really shows that she is being really mature about it, and that she isn’t perfect. She doesn’t deserve to be booed off of the stage after she was performing her third single, “La La” at The Orange Bowl because all she was trying to do was to show the world that she doesn’t normally lip-synch, and that she does sing and write her own songs. The only reason why she turned to her sister, Jessica by crying on her shoulder is because a lot of haters out there are giving her a hard time on the lip-synching incident, and I don’t blame her for doing that because being heavily criticized by a lot of haters for what happened on Saturday Night Live and being booed for no reason really hurts. Avril Lavigne cried in her, “Wish You Were Here” music video and Britney Spears lip-synchs all the time and nobody gives them a hard time about that. End of story.
