Basement Jaxx Turn Down Britney Spears And Madonna reports Basement Jaxx refused to agree to work on a remix of ‘Me Against the Music’ unless they could hear it first. Felix Buxton explained, “We were asked to remix the last Madonna and Britney record, but they said we couldn’t hear the track. They said, ‘Do you want to do Madonna?’ We asked, ‘Well, what does it sound like?’ They said ‘It’s the new Madonna single’ as if that was enough. We didn’t have much time, and they did eventually send a thing of it, but it was all far too late.”

Madonna In A ‘Remix’ Mood

People are scared of this washed up duo. Even the remixers.

LMAO. they knew if they told Basement Jaxx it was a Britney song that they would straight up refuse, so they tried to pass it off as the “new MADONNA single” Britney has so much respect.

I don’t blame them. Given the poor quality of some of the stuff Madonna has put out lately, as well as the doubts many are having about the direction of Britney’s career, they were probably afraid that the song would be a huge piece of crap that would be impossible to fix or save. Then they would have gotten a bad name for being associated with a bad song. It’s especially risky because Britney and Madonna are SO huge; if they came out with a flop everybody would be talking about it. Having said that, MATM isn’t a bad song.

I heard that they definitely wanted to do until they found out that Madonna was on the song. Stupid old slut go away.

Too bad, I love Basement Jaxx and they could have come up with a really hot remix. Oh well, I still got Outkast’s remix to look forward to!
