The Calgary Sun was on hand when Ben Affleck spoke with reporters promoting ‘Daredevil’. The actor admitted to being surprised at the attention he got after he started dating his fiance Jennifer Lopez. “It really is a little weird. I was in a public relationship before with Gwyneth Paltrow,” Affleck said. “I didn’t do anything different this time so I wasn’t prepared for the media frenzy. I admit, I was a little bit shocked.” He later joked of his ‘Daredevil’ co-star: “I took comfort in the fact that Colin Farrell dated Britney Spears and I was off the hook for a few days.”
Jennifer Lopez To Star In Female Version Of ‘Lethal Weapon’
February 3, 2003 – The Sun reports Jennifer is to star in an all-girl cop caper. “It’s a female version of the ‘Lethal Weapon’ series,” revealed a Hollywood insider. “The characters are similar to the Mel Gibson and Danny Glover characters in those films.” Movie bosses are hoping for multiple sequels in the movie to be titled ‘Double Or Nothing’.

February 3, 2003 – Extra TV had a video clip, since removed, of their first ever interview with Jennifer, from back in 1995. At that time, Jennifer’s trainer was whipping her into shape for a film with Jack Nicholson called ‘Blood & Wine’ and another with Wesley Snipes, called ‘Money Train.’ Even early on, she showed the dedication it takes to succeed, both at the gym and in Hollywood. She said, “People always say: have something to fall back on. I don’t have something to fall back on. I don’t plan on falling.”
‘Daredevil’ Director Quizzed Ben On J.Lo Engagement
February 3, 2003 – Entertainment Weekly spoke with ‘Daredevil’ writer-director Mark Steven Johnson who admits he did quiz Ben Affleck about rumors he and Jennifer Lopez were secretly engaged. “The rumor was they’d [already] gotten engaged,” says the filmmaker. “So I e-mailed him and said, ‘What’s the deal? Are you or are you not?'” As Johnson remembers it, Affleck issued a noncommittal, tongue-in-cheek response: “He wrote, ‘Learn my sh** at the checkout counter like everybody else.'” Affleck is on the cover of this week’s issue. February 3, 2003 – Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times spoke with Ben after the actor and fiance Jennifer pulled out of Chicago while Ben was filming ‘Surviving Christmas.’ Ben admitted, “It was crazy cold. I have never been so cold in my life. I mean, I’m from Boston. I know what cold is, but that was beyond anything I’ve ever felt. When I was out there on Michigan Avenue shooting that scene, I was so cold I thought I was going to vomit!” Ben says because of the cold, he and J.Lo “stayed in [when he wasn’t filming] and didn’t get out to many restaurants or stuff.”
