Big Egos Signal End Being Near For Backstreet Boys
US Weekly reports the Backstreet Boys are inching even closer to breaking up. An inside source with the group revealed, “The guys have been fighting.” With solo plans for the group members and because “now that they have tons of money,” things aren’t looking good for the group’s new album plans. Part of the problem for the new LP is “they have big egos, so each feels they have more of a say than the other.”
The group also warred over their management firm, with Howie, Kevin, and Nick wanting to stay with The Firm, while AJ and Brian wanted to leave “because they blamed them for the last album flopping.”
Of course with Carter retaining the firm for his solo effort, that hasn’t gone over with his bandmates well either. The fear from Nick’s album coming out just before Backstreet’s would be a ‘cannibalization’ effect on the group’s album. A spokeswoman was mum on the report.
