Madonna’s Reported Plans To Adopt Denied
September 5, 2006 – After the impoverished African nation of Malawi inexplicably announced to the world that Madonna had just adopted a 1-year-old boy there, the singer’s rep Liz Rosenberg told The New York Post it wasn’t true. “It is completely inaccurate,” Rosenberg insisted. “She has not adopted.” Still, she’s not upset with the rumor. [“It’s] fine with her – even if it’s information that’s not correct,” Rosenberg added, since the news should help draw attention to the horrifying devastation in Malawi. Madonna’s Still Donating Big Bucks To Kabbalah
October 5, 2006 – Roger Friedman of FoxNews.com profiled the money Madonna continues to give to Kabbalah through her Ray of Light Foundation, with publicly reported donations in 2005 to their Spirituality for Kids branch of $268,106, and another $184,250 to the Kabbalah Centre itself. This compares to her donations of $2,500 to the Grammy Foundation’s MusiCares program, $10,000 to AIDS Project Los Angeles, and $15,000 to the TJ Martell Foundation for Cancer Research.
