LMAO @ the Hilary Duff comment, sad but is true by I like her because she is really modest and she doesn’t act to grown up. While some 16 year olds are taking their clothes off etc, she acts her age.

In spite of the half live/half lipped vocals, it was a pretty hot performance.

Why would waste your time to download it? It’s still the same old dance routine from the ‘Oops’ era and she lip synched like there’s no tomorrow.

    1) I really think she was singing. 2) Holy CRAP, she was hot. 3) Awesome dance moves, great background, and great reception by the crowd. 4) I know the hair’s fake, but it looks awesome like that. heh… I liked it. Way better than her SNL one.

She was singing over the record, which is just as bad considering she wasn’t singing the whole time. Why does she need that safety net? Because she’s definitely not a singer. How disappointing, not that anyone should expect better. She’s an embarrassment to the word ‘music’.

  6. Cicero says:

^^ Yeah, I think she was singing over the music too. I’m sorry you’re disappointed. You know, this really turns on what we expect, right? This might sound bad, but I like Britney because she’s a performer — she can sing okay (not spectacularly, like Mariah or Christina), she can dance well, she’s attractive, and she has a great personality. All those factors make her a great entertainer. Maybe not the most gifted artist, not by a long shot. But a kick ass entertainer.

Sorry I’m writing so much. Anyway, I’ve sort of cooled down from Christina’s blender interview, but let’s not go there for another week. So, there’s this performance, which was awesome. But then I also loved — and I think I’m alone on this one — Christina’s “The Voice Within” video. Agh, that was beautiful, and so underrated. I get my fill of different things from different artists. “Voice Within” was very artistic — so beautiful. But this performance by Brit was awesome: loud, colorful, and so damn entertaining. Basically, I’m saying that each performer has his or her place, and we’re all better off because of all of them being present.

  7. JMAX says:

True… She’s not the best singer, but she is a good singer. She’s not the best dancer, but she is a good dancer. Plus, she’s very sweet and very beautiful, and puts on one HELL of a show!

I can see what you’re saying, yet I still can’t say I’m better off with Britney around. Sure, she’s an entertainer, so she shouldn’t attempt to be a musician in any form. She may be a good dancer, but in the general music industry, she’s a joke. But I can respect your opinion. BTW, you’re not alone on Xtina’s video…..I love it. It’s so stripped down and bare, her voice drives that single the whole way.

  9. tazzsgirl says:

Yeah Cicero you are so right the show begins the music starts Britney walks on stage and,and and she sucked please get your head out of your ass

Wow the performance was hot, I liked the dancing.. It’s good that she sang some parts.. The best performance was TRL though! Go Britney!

  11. Spearsworld says:

How does she keep doing it again and again?! Britney consistently outshines and upstages all other performance acts, hands down. Other singers did well, but Britney has a style and appeal that can’t be touched. Props to the show’s other highlights: Ruben and Clay, Pink, Hilary Duff and Evanescence…but Britney is the master!

  12. jazzprofounder says:

I believe there is more to being an entertainer than just having attractive looks and great dance moves, there also has to be more substance there where not every dance move seems so repetitive, and more rhythm and originality to make the performance better. I don’t see Britney as an artist or a singer, but I think she has a long way to go to be called an entertainer as well, but she’s doing very well on earning that title.
