Britney Spears Hopes For Caesarean Birth

tells Elle magazine she plans to name her baby London, if it is a boy – and she wants to give birth by caesarean. “I have a feeling I’m going to have an operation. I don’t know why, but I hope so,” she said. “My mom said giving birth was the most excruciating thing that she’s ever gone through in her life. So if a caesarean doesn’t happen, I’ll be like, ‘Epidural, please!’ Hopefully my athletic abilities will take over.” Meanwhile, The Mirror reports that the singer has been intently watching coverage of Hurricane Katrina. “Britney’s been glued to the TV coverage of the storms and obviously very worried about her family,” a source said. “She wasn’t able to contact them until they had moved away from the storm. It was very stressful for her and she’s just thankful they are all OK. In the end Kentwood got off lightly compared to New Orleans and Baton Rouge but her family took no chances and moved out early just in case.”

Well that’s good that her family is safe. As for the caesarean, well, it’s not as if giving birth is like taking a nap on the beach, and majority of women get the operation instead of natural. But whatever she wants best for her, hopefully it will happen. London is a cute name for a boy.

She should name the second baby — due in 12 months — France. Then we can all say,’, ‘”I see London, I see France. I see Kevin’s underpants.”

britney has always been cool with me but I think it is absolutley ridiculous to opt for a c-section when you can deliver natural.c-sections are not anything to be played with.that is a major operation that responsible doctors use to save life not because you want to avoid pain.and I have had to take care of several friends and family members after normal childbirth and c-section and the c-section has more recovery time and pain after can be released from normal birth 24 to 48 hrs after birth w/ c-section its any where from 3-5 days.she should do more research because her thinking is absurd.that incision has to heal. a friend of mine had a c-section in June and didn’t allow her self time to heal and her stitches came undone.

I wish she wouldn’t play up the Hurricane Katrina disaster with her family’s safety. Her parents/sis live 90 miles away from the coast, and had PLENTY of warning. They could have hopped on a charter plane days before anyone even got in their car to evacuate. Not sure about her cousin or brother – but they ALL have the means to get out faster than most (maybe not the brains, but the means). And what Athletic abilities is she talking about?
