Britney Spears Set To Top Charts A Second Week

New Releases from Missy Elliott, No Doubt, Korn, Dixie Chicks, Puddle of Mudd, Enrique Iglesias, and Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz won’t be able to take down Britney Spears’ new album for the second week. ‘In the Zone’ should log at least another 300k by the end of this week, according to early reports from national accounts, making it an easy #1 for the second week running. Look for Enrique to sell around 150,000 copies of ‘Seven’.

That’s more good news. I hope she reaches the million sales mark by the end of the two weeks.

lmao, weren’t people claiming that she debuts high and then falls down the chart? Tsk, tsk, Eat your excuses. Go Britney! Damn, looks like everyone is getting “In The Zone”! Congrats Britney…and all of us fans!

  3. Whatomat says:

If she gets 300,000 next week she will definitely go platinum by week 3,,,awesome!! So much for some people’s dreams of Britney flopping.

  4. clayfan says:

I have no doubt she’ll be No. 1 for the second week, but it’s a little early to tell.

It sure is great to always be successful – I am so proud of Britney-she always proves critics wrong so much for this album being a flop

  6. JMAX says:

Cool! Their predictions last week were pretty accurate, but we’ll see.

The only thing I hate about articles like this is if new releases came out yesterday. How do they know how much something will sell. I hate when they call stuff so early only because of all of the rumors about number fudging from before

I know!!! I agree with you–how do they know? There is an interesting site — Hits Daily Double, I think it’s — that predicts things like this, and they have been pretty accurate in the couple of times I’ve checked. I think they may check in with some key retailers and such. So it’s all speculation, I think. But it’s a fairly easy call — maybe a no-brainer — to predict that Britney will sell well…cause she ALWAYS DOES. She’s done plenty of promotion. The girl must be exhausted!

300,000 copies is still not good. She should do better than that. That roughly the same as J.Lo “This is me, then” CD.

Congrats to Britney and the team of marketing men behind her, pulling her strings. Anyway, I’m sure they’ll party hard and milk it for all she’s worth. Way to go! But seriously, congratulations for selling so much.

Good for her consider the pop trend is over she should be happy that she can release an album that can go to number one. Sure compared to her first three album it is a disappointment but I doubt Jive is upset. Her record will be success but Britney Spear is going to have to do a lot of hard work to enjoy success. Look how badly Nick Carter Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey album did. People like Justin Timberlake Christina Aguilera and N’sync should be happy that they are having success after the whole trend is over
