Jasmin of The Tacoma News Tribune reviewed Britney Spears’ show at the Tacoma Dome on Wednesday, as well as talked with fans outside the venue. 10-year old Karen Melissa Gifford said, “This is our first concert. She has a really cool lifestyle. … We’re just so into it.” As for the show, Jasmin said, “Talent aside, there aren’t many performers with her stamina. And there are fewer who can manage the incredible costume changes she pulled off.”

According to a pair of postings on the Christina Aguilera LiveDaily forum, inquiries to RCA suggest that Christina Aguilera’s new album has again been delayed until the fourth quarter of 2002. XtinaBumpNGrind said, “I emailed them 4 days ago about it and got a response yesterday. They said to look for the album to be released in late November early December.” The poster later fumed, “It sucks and I find it EXTREMELY disrespectful to all of us.” The opinion was shared by most on the forum, who have been expecting a new album at different points throughout the year, only to find news headlines of Christina partying at various events instead.

Nick Carter Promises Backstreet Will Be Back

Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter was on the CBS Early Show this morning where he performed with younger brother Aaron Carter. Nick said before their performance that he will continue with BSB. “They support me and I support them.” He did talk about his solo album as well saying it will be out later this year. O-Town Coming Out With Clothing Line This Fall

Women’s Wear Daily reports O-Town members Ashley Angel, Trevor Penick and Erik-Michael Estrada will launch their own clothing line to be called Atira. Look for the eclectic mix of urban, surf, skate, and ’70s styles for both sexes later this fall. Estrada said of the deal, “I’ve always wanted to do this. I even had my own line of T-shirts that I used to sell in high school.”

Britney Spears Picture Gets Clipped From Yearbook

A photo of Britney Spears has been censored from Ben Lomond High’s yearbook due to copyright restrictions. Assistant Principal Kevin Kuykendall explained, “She was in a collage of students that represents our school. It”s kind of silly.” Since it is illegal to sell the copyrighted material, the yearbook staff will be cutting out the Britney image. “We”re just trying to take care of it so we don”t have a legal obligation on our hands,” said Kuykendall.

Website Hiatus Doesn’t Mean Backstreet Boys Breakup

A spokesman tells Worldpop that the fact that the Backstreet Boys’ official website is on hiatus does not mean the group is breaking up. “The website is on hiatus because the band are working on new material. They’re planning to release a new album and are working on individual projects as well,” the spokesman explained. Of course the prior website was operated by the group’s prior management, The Firm, but for whatever reason the spokesman made no mention of that.
