Christina Aguilera, Ja Rule, Jennifer Lopez, Craig David, Good Charlotte and other celebrities weigh in on the gender gap and how it affects the differences between the sexes on MTV’s ‘Fight For Your Rights: Busting The Double Standard’. The show takes an in-depth look at the double standard that exists between guys and girls when it comes to dating and sexual relationships. The first half-hour will deal with the girl’s side of the gender gap, exploring what it means to be a lady and how sexuality does not fit into that picture. It will also take a look at how an emerging female sexuality in pop culture is not necessarily trickling down to real girls’ lives. The second half-hour, it’s the guys’ turn, the mold that they’re supposed to fit into: tall, strong, aggressive, and all about the ladies. Tune in on Monday, August 18, at 6 pm ET/PT.

Girls have a harder time expressing their sexuality. we always get singled out if we show even the least bit of skin. Then all of a sudden we have this “sexy/slutty” image. guys get away with everything. they’re almost expected to be sexy and to exploit ho’s in their videos.
Christina Aguilera cracks me up with her double standard talk keep it up girl and remember I am a fighter damn it.

This is so old, MTV just probably updated it, but I remember seeing this like months ago. MTV is just getting so tired, I don’t even like watching it anymore.
One reason it is harder on girls is because of the way the female body is made they are higher at risk to catching an STD or something like that than guys are. I bet you most of the people that even call Christina Aguilera a slut are other girls or people that still consider her to be pop.
It feels so good to be a fan of Christina, she’s not just talented she’s also intelligent. She’s not a singer who cares about her looks, she doesn’t sing songs about craziness or candies. Christina speaks her mind, that’s why we all love her.
WTH? I suggest you brush up on your anatomy, because men are running the same risk of catch a STD, just like women are. Ignorance like that is scary, anyone is at risk at getting a STD. Only difference are the way men and women get a STD, women have symptoms, while men don’t. Since men don’t have symptoms to warn when something is wrong with their bodies they risk of STD getting real serious down the line. Since women have symptoms Doctors are able to catch it in time.
