Conan O’Brien Jokes About Britney, Christina & *NSYNC
Contributed by Brazilianguy_2003: He said as his final joke, “Britney Spears is the news everyone” (Audience whoops and hollers) “Thats right she has now admitted that she is no longer virgin in ‘W’ magazine…. and meanwhile Christina Aguilera has also admitted she is no longer a virgin in ‘Duh’ magazine.” He also had his famous SAT analogies on her. “Britney is to losing her virginity to Justin Timberlake as, that’s right, *NSYNC is to losing their virginity to Justin Timberlake.”

Joey Fatone Talks *NSYNC
June 23, 2003 – TV Guide Online caught up with Joey Fatone to get the latest on *NSYNC’s next album. “We’re starting in September,” he revealed. “We’ll be getting together and writing then, and hopefully we’ll be done [in the studio] around the end of the year. Are Boybands Losing Ground With Young Fans?
June 23, 2003 – Chris Welch of The Huntsville Times profiled the future of the Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC asking Gary Bongiovanni, editor of Pollstar magazine, for his thoughts. “In general, the career span of nearly every teen pop artist is very limited, three to five years,” Bongiovanni said. “And, when you go away from the scene for a while, it’s tough to figure out how much of the audience is there. If the Backstreet Boys or *NSYNC take off two years, when their audience is teens and pre-teens, and their attention spans are short, it’s easy to go on to the next big thing. And, when they come back, you don’t know if they’re still fans. At their age, what’s ultra-cool and not cool changes overnight.”
*NSYNC Fans Diss The Group’s Attempts At Acting
June 4, 2003 – Contributed by elgato: MTV.com let *NSYNC fans weigh in on Justin Timberlake’s interest in movies. Minnesota native Rachel said, “I think it’s cool that Justin Timberlake is taking it slow. The last thing he wants to do when he is starting out as an actor is rush and make a flop like Lance Bass did with ‘On the Line’.” Then 17-year old Megan from Missouri said, “Do any of you remember the TV movie ‘Model Behavior,’ starring Justin Timberlake? It was terrible. I surely hope he has honed his acting skills, but as of now I wouldn’t pay to see him act. Singing works for him; he should stick with it.”
Justin Timberlake Says Next ‘NSYNC Album Will Sound ‘Different’
June 2, 2003 – When *NSYNC reunites in the studio this fall, expect the group to take on different heads, and not in a cool, special effects sort of way, as they’ve done in the past. “As a creative person that hasn’t even thought about what we would work on and where the direction would go, I know that it would have to be something a little new, creative and different,” Justin Timberlake told MTV News. “And so I can’t make any promises on what it’s going to sound like, or if we even feel confident enough to put it out. I mean, I’m sure we will.” Read more.
