Enrique Iglesias Feared Album Flop & Career Alternatives

Arti Mulchand of The Straits Times was at the Fullerton Hotel room press conference in Singapore that a tired and unshaven was an hour late to. Enrique was portrayed as grumpy about doing interviews telling reporters, “I wish you could just turn in an album and tour, and not worry about anything else. I love being on stage, but when you’re on promotional tours, you’re not singing.”

Enrique spoke about career alternatives in a near panic if his album had failed. Iglesias offered, “It took me a year to do this album. Can you imagine it had been a big flop? It would be disastrous… There are times when I think, if this album’s not a hit, what the hell do I do, you know? Open up a fried-chicken restaurant? I don’t know. I don’t know what I would do. I don’t know what else I could do.”
