Guy Ritchie: ‘Swept Away’ Made Money reports that Guy Ritchie insists his much-maligned ‘Swept Away’, starring his wife Madonna, wasn’t a flop. “I don’t think it’s a great film but I don’t think it’s a bad film,” he said. “We were due, the pair of us, for something of a dousing. That project was unique on several levels. I don’t think my audience was interested in seeing a movie starring my wife and my wife’s audience wasn’t interested in seeing a movie directed by me. But one way or another, it made money.”

LMAO! It made enough money to leave the studio with 10 million not payed back for the flop! What was he thinking? Did Madonna brainwash him?

A search party needs to be sent out – in search of Guys balls! Wait…they’ve been found! In a jar in Madonna’s bedroom!

Call me crazy, but “Swept Away” wasn’t all that bad. But what do I know? I like movies critics pan because they’re usually the best ones. But this movie did lose a lot of money. Hell, it didn’t even crack the 700,000 dollar mark.

I really liked the movie, maybe it made money when it went to DVD, many movies that’, ‘do well because the box office did not carry it because the critics panned it, does very well on DVD. This movie was panned before they even watched it. It got good reviews by USA Today and EW when they actually watched it. And it rented very well in my area. It may have bombed at the box office but it could have done well as a DVD. Many movies are made just for DVD because it is very profitable.

i thought it was a really bad movie lol’, ‘I am not talking about financially, I just think it was a badly made movie in general. Even if the movie was a box office smash I still would have thought it sucked lol.

Well of course it made money, that’s a no brainer. But I care less about how much the movie made when it was in theatres and on DVD. In my eyes a bad movie is simply a bad movie, regardless of the extras and crap that they have on the DVD. I wouldn’t say Swept Away is the worse movie I have ever seen, but I just thought it was badly made, and the acting and dialogue was horrible. If they improved the acting and the dialogue, it wouldn’t have been as bad as it was.

Madonna refuses to accept the fact that she simply cannot act. She would rather keep making a fool of herself in all of these flops. Oh well.
