She debuted ahead of Mary, but I think Mary’s album will stay on the charts longer than Hilary Duff and sell much more in the long run. At least that’s what I think.

Why is it that a talentless bimbo like this girl is selling records. Does the American public even care that she can’t hold a note? Mary J. Blige is a rnb legend, her CD will be on the charts for the next year, producing radio-friendly hits.

How pathetic. 131,000 copies only? Looks like she will be fading!

I don’t get it Hilary Duff is garbage, just shut up and keep acting. How the hell did she top Mary, its a conspiracy I tell you. I think the younger girls look up to her because she’s basically another Britney Spears, cause Hilary sure does love her, but they are both musically challenged, but I guess if your blonde and pretty you can have crappy talent and have a good career

As a vocalist of 20 years, I’m going to comment on the talent issue being questioned here…… Hilary Duff has a very good voice…she’s only 15 years old you guys! For a 15 year old, she’s great. I’m sure that as her voice matures, it will only get better, and I only say that because I can hear that she is off to a good start. She has a strong set of pipes, and honestly, I’d like you to find me another 15 year old that has a voice like that. There was LeAnn Rimes that everyone doted over, but I called her mandatory vocal rest LONG before she ever had to take it because I could hear the bad technique she used…and STILL uses to this day. I never found her to be all that great BECAUSE I’ve had the training I have. Billy Gillman was truly a boy genius as a vocalist when he came out. He STILL to this day has a great set of pipes. Aaron Carter….going through some changes, but I’ve heard him live, and he’s quite good as well. Justin Timberlake, when he was first starting out, had an impressive voice, but it didn’t grow…..so today, at 22, almost 23, it’s not as impressive. But back in the day, he was awesome. Britney Spears…also HAD some potential back in the day…for a young child, she had a pretty good voice, but again, it didn’t grow, and all she can do now is moan into the microphone! She’s just dreadful now. Nick Carter is one who was able to make the transition well…..he was promising then, and has really come into his own. I like to listen to him because I LOVE his voice. It’s soothing, and I’m sorry, but the rock side of him…..sure, he can perform it, but seriously, I LOVE to hear him on the ballad/Backstreet type songs cause his voice is so smooth….so rich….. AJ is one who really came a long way….I think he’d be even better if he didn’t smoke! Christina….has always had a great voice, but after she reached a certain age, REALLY came into her own, and now has the pipes that are purely dynamite!!! You find me more child prodigy singers, and I’ll rate them……same as I have all the others

This is Hilary and Mary’s second week on the charts, Mary beat her out last week, but somehow this week Hilary came in first this week. What has the world come to?

Just to let you know I just read one line of her ESSAY. And for someone who is 15 years old Hilary Duff still sucks.

Hilary Duff doesn’t have the greatest voice that I have ever heard, but something about her voice is very unique and interesting on the rock tempo tunes and very husky, smooth, and somewhat magnetic with her not all so sugarcoated ballads. I didn’t buy her album, but I heard a few tracks from it, but from what I heard, she has put so much in depth emotion about a teen girl falling in love, going through heartbreak, growing to the age of 16 with more problems to paint through the obstacles, and eventually at the end, becoming a bird that’s truly freed from all the troubles that have already flown away from her. I am not saying that she’s the most talented or has the greatest voice, but moral and role model wise, she’s truly an angel, and shines so much talent that the world hasn’t yet seen or even try to notice before baring her as some Britney wannabe.

TOTALLY DISAGREE READ THIS. Yes Hilary Duff is 15 but there are many many 15 years old out there that can sing much better and this is the music business we’re talking about it’s hard to get a record deal and there are so many talents that haven’t been discover yet and yes her voice will grow maturely but til then when her voice really does then she might can sign. but right now her voice is not even capable of getting a record deal! there are others that can do better and knowing that life is not fair she’s a actress so she have connection to this kind of a entertainment business but there are so many that have been working their ass overtime and yet a 15 years old just because she’s a actress which give her a connection to the industry is making album topping Mary J. sure Hilary is good but not good enough…..yet. she should wait off til she gets better because hello this is the music industry you know how many people want to have a career in this?!

What the HELL???? I mean, all of you people insulting Hilary are just like a tipycal ‘cliche’ saying bad things about a new artist with talent. Just the same crap as always, the same stupid false comments you makes toward Britney. But the thing is that she’s proven quite strength in the Charts, way better than Jessica Simpson and Christina Aguilera. Let me recall you ‘haters’ that the flop “Stripped” doesn’t even get to the number 1 spot on the Charts, and Jessica’s luckily entered at number 10. Hilary you got it going ON… The NUMBER ONE (Número 1) #01 Album on the United States. ***cheers***
