Hollywood Wants To Make Justin Timberlake A Movie Star

Riding high on a solo music career, star
Justin Timberlake’s camp tells USA Today the *NSYNC star is getting movie scripts sent his way as the singer enjoys solo success. Timberlake is ready to make the move to movies “if the right project comes along,” according to his spokeswoman.

“He’s at a critical point, and he’s blazing a trail,” says MTV executive VP Tom Calderone. “Not a lot of people have gone from band to solo artist to multi-media star.”

Okay Justin Timberlake is a great performer, singer, and entertainer, and I know it’s a little too early to judge but something about recording artists trying to be actors/actresses from being in a singing career is really just unconvincing, in my opinion (i know it worked for Mandy Moore *i think*, but that’s not the point). They always play characters that are similar and sometimes exactly like their own character in public, which is not acting, and just seems to be a way to elevate the status of the artist just for publicity sakes, not because they seriously want to be an actor. But oh well, if something happens, then…it happens, lol.

I hope he’ll pick the right part in a movie or he’ll end up like his ex Britney.I hope his future film will do well.

what’s up with all the crossovers lately? I agree with jazzprofounder… many (well, all I can think of right now are Mariah and Britney) pick roles similar to their ‘other job’. Mandy is doing well. if Justin does decide to do film, he better pick a good role so he doesn’t make a fool of himself like those two did.

  4. popnicklover says:

LOL! I’d just like to see Justin get a better role than what he got in Model Behavior, since that was as good of a role he could possibly ever get because he totally SUCKS as an actor!

How was the character Britney played in Crossroads anything like the real Britney? Did you even see the movie? The girl Britney played was her high school’s valedictorian going on a road trip to find her mother and herself. Britney A) didn’t even graduate high school and B) is best friends with her mother. So how she and her character are anything alike, I’ll never know. They both sing and that’s it. I hope she doesn’t breathe in her next movie, because that would be just like what she does in real life too! What an idiot. Also, lets please not compare the great Justin Timberlake to the loser that is Nick Carter. I wouldn’t even begin to know where to start on that topic. At least the Britney/Christina argument has relevant opinions from both sides. Nick is just a loser all the way around.

Whatever. I’m sure he won’t be nearly as mad as Britney in Crossroads. I felt so sorry for her when I was watching that.

  7. XTremeKaos says:

Excuse you. This thread has nothing to do with Nick Carter, so leave him out of it. Besides, everyone with a brain knows Justin Timberlake doesn’t hold a candle to Nick Carter. Justin could only dream of being half the man Nick is. You don’t see Nick selling himself out to the media. Grow up.

I hope Justin doesn’t play a character similar to himself. Even though Eminem did pretty well, he played a white rapper which is what he is.

awesome! Justin can really make it big in the movie biz if he picks the right role. I think a comedy or a thriller or something would be awesome. Just no like… he’s a model blah blah blah type a thing. I would go out and see the movie in a heartbeat if he’s in it. Just don’t let it be a Crossroads or From Justin (Guarani) to Kelly.

Nick fans are sad. People like Popnickloser come here and make stupid a.s.s comments about Justin, I don’t go to the Nick boards and start talking about him. I only talk about him when Nick fans come here and make rude comments about Justin. JT IS STILL #1!
