Jason Reeves: We Need Change
Jason Reeves checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace (@jasonreeves) on Saturday (November 1), making his feelings about Tuesday’s U.S. elections clear. The Iowa City singer songwriter tells readers:
If we don’t do something soon to change the direction we are heading, we are all doomed.. It is not a matter of politics. It is a simple truth. We are in trouble and it is impossible not to see. If we don’t act now it may be too late, and the world is much too beautiful to be ruined by human greed. We need to recognize our place among all living creatures and our responsibility to contribute positively to the earth as a whole. I don’t need to tell you any of this, as you already know… But here’s a song I wrote about 4 years ago, hoping that it wouldn’t still apply today…
