JC Chasez Says Janet’s Boob Was Blown Out Of Proportion
Dan Aquilante of the New York Post caught up with *NSYNC star JC Chasez and asked him about the fallout he suffered after his bandmate Justin Timberlake exposed the breast of Janet Jackson at the Super Bowl. “Yeah. It wasn’t fair,” JC said of his Pro Bowl removal.
“I know it was a sensitive situation, and I understand why they did it. What (Janet and Justin) did was a big deal, but it wasn’t as big a deal as everyone made out,” JC argued. “Some people claimed emotional distress because of it. Give me a break. Compared to the average news broadcast, with reports about terrorist bombings, war and death, how harmful is one naked breast? It’s really comes off as hypocritical to me. Did that boob harm anyone? No.”
Asked what he thought was more important than Janet Jackson’s nipple, Chasez responded, “Well, we’re in a year when we are electing a new president. How about that? We’re in the middle of a war. There isn’t enough money for schools. The list of what’s important is really long, and America was worried about a nipple. Our priorities are all out of whack.”
Janet Jackson Pranked By A Montreal Radio Station
March 5, 2004 – Contributed by bluejanet: Janet was pranked by a Montreal Radio station who phoned her pretending to be Celine Dion. “Celine” said that she was planning a stunt similar to the Super Bowl with Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter and asked Janet how her family was.
Janet Jackson To Appear On ‘SNL’
March 3, 2004 – According to Jeannette Walls of MSNBC.com, Janet is planning to appear on Saturday Night Live to spoof her Super Bowl breast flash. “She’s stayed out of the public eye since the whole Super Bowl fiasco,” a source explained. “She’ll almost certainly do a skit that will refer to and spoof [the incident] in hopes of encouraging everyone to chill about this whole thing.” An insider says Jackson is penciled in for April 10th. Read more.
Update: According to Entertainment Tonight, NBC has confirmed that Janet Jackson will host the April 10th episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’.
so cool… and I seriously doubt it will be played out…right now the FCC is still investigating the “incident,” and Disney just took down Mickey Mouse 1928 which was inspired by her… so she’s still feeling the fallout from the halftime show, while Justin is riding high from any responsibility of it all… he has sold out his soul.
What a bunch of crap. Justin has taken just as much flack as Janet for it. Both have apologized for it and said it was an accident. Most of us out here are sick to death of hearing about it. As long as they both keep making good music I’ll keep buying it. Madonna and Britney have just about done worse then this in their careers. Get over yourself!
Janet Jackson need to sit down-if she was gonna flash her boob, she should have flashed both of them and it would have been cool, “wardrobe malfunction” yeah right-she meant to do that *****. It did not offend me at all, I just think it was kinda tacky “if” she did it on purpose. And Justin Timberlake is a fraud. He thinks he can really sing and *****, y’all N’sync fans stop lying to them boys!
To whoever said that Justin is getting as much sh** as Janet is so wrong, that little boy got off so easy, he didn’t have to do it, but he did, its not like she would of pulled it off herself, he did and she’s the one who’s getting all the heat and its not fair, its a double standard, it really is.
Well JC is right…it was blown way out of proportions…and made America look more hypocritical than it already is….there are far more worse things going on in the world, and there were and are far more worse things that have been said and done to exploit things in the public. The whole thing could have just been seen as a “blooper” and something to laugh at instead of being made into a big deal.
I think it’s just escapism. I think some people used it as an excuse to not think about Iraq all the things JC mentioned. Besides, the US government is currently being run by many conservatives and its an election year, so of course some people in the government are going to make a big deal about it. But to be honest, I don’t think the average American really cared all that much.
JC probably didn’t go to church but that’s just hilarious the way he said it. “did that boob harm anyone?” lol no but it sure did “offend” a lot of people. I’ve never been on a Super Bowl but didn’t people say it was a family show?? Even little 5 year olds were probably there to see it. Oh boy. Man, JC needs to learn some broad horizons. lol
Yeah, but they had to show it at that halftime show. It could be anywhere, like SNL (like anyone would care about that show) or on some magazines but on Super Bowl. Honestly. Yeah, let’s laugh about that. Some little kids are probably scarred for life. How ’bout that?
JC has hit the nail right down on the head there. I couldn’t have said it better myself. Those who claimed “emotional distress” are just freaks I’m sorry and have no grasp on what is going on the world if they think the worst thing going on is Janet Jackson accidentally revealing her breast. Get a life. A breast is a part of the female anatomy, its part of the human body of women. Its hardly going to traumatize the children if they see it is it? come on. There are reports of terrorist and suicide bombings coming through everyday and soldiers out there dying. That is what I call traumatizing and emotionally damaging. Don’t see anyone complaining about that do you? Don’t see people panicking over their children seeing that, god these people need to wake up and smell the coffee.
