The official site message board for Jessica Simpson was shut down for new postings Saturday morning where AJessFriend, who moderates the boards and communicates with the Simpson family wrote, “Due to the actions of one malicious user who spammed the board with obscenities this morning, I have disabled the “new post” function for the time being.”
Jessica To Perform During World Series
November 2, 2001 – Jessica Simpson will be performing “God Bless America” during the Seventh Inning Stretch on Saturday, November 3rd during Game 6 of the World Series in Phoenix, Arizona. This will be televised on FOX nationally. Check your local listings.
As well, Jessica Simpson will perform at the White House today. Jessica and her pianist, Rob Lewis will perform “God Bless America” and “His Eye is on the Sparrow”. This appearance might be picked up on CNN or C-SPAN so be on the lookout.

October 27, 2001 – The Las Vegas Review Journal reports Jessica Simpson overshadowed Christina Aguilera and other Radio Music Awards stars as the favorite amongst photographers, perhaps because of her planned USO tour to sing to American troops with Vegas’ own Wayne Newton. When asked about the motivations behind the presidential request for her to take part, Simpson said, “Maybe it’s because I’m a Texan.”
Jessica Simpson To Perform For U.S. Troops
October 17, 2001 – Joe Simpson left a new message on his daughter’s official site message board breaking the unfortunate news that Jessica’s grandmother is in a coma and is likely days from death. Jessica has cancelled events for the next few days because of this as she sits bedside with her.
Joe also revealed that the family will be heading to the middle east in the middle of November as Jessica Simpson performs for soldiers in the middle east, at the request of President Bush. Joe says Jessica quickly agreed and has “a place in her heart for her country and those protect its freedom.”
