JoJo Struggles With In-Ear Monitor On ‘Live With Regis And Kelly’

Pop singer Joanna 'JoJo' Levesque holds the necklace given to her by her backup singer DenisePepsi Smash’s Track Episode 4 features Joanna ‘JoJo’ Levesque talking about her appearance on ‘Live with Regis and Kelly’. The pop singer discussed how it was her first ‘Too Little, Too Late’ performance on the morning show, her band becoming a family, getting a necklace as a gift from her backup singer, and the difficulties she had with her in-ear monitor during the ‘Live’ performance.

Talking about what she had in store for the day, said, “What is happening today is I’m doing ‘Regis and Kelly’, I believe this is my third performance I’ve done, but this is my first on their show of ‘Too Little, Too Late’. I feel like I’ve got to give a good performance. I’m gonna really try my best and I hope that everything comes together.”

Speaking of her band, said, “We have a nice little family that’s coming together, me and my band and my backup singers. Denise, one of my backup singers actually came up and gave me a necklace as a gift for my album release coming out, it was so sweet of her. She gave me a necklace just like (one she had).”

“Some people don’t know that artists wear in-ear monitors to hear themselves,” explained. “When I was younger and I didn’t really know, I used to think that singers would just put their hand to their ears just to be dramatic, but actually what it is, there are molded speakers that are put in artist’s ears, and that’s how artists hear themselves, the band, the backup singers, everything. So for me, I’m always thinking about please let my in-ear monitors work. Once you can’t hear yourself, you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh’. That’s the only thing you can think about. I was having a lot of difficulties that day. The sound was not right. I was not too happy with my performance. So I really wanted to go out there and win over the crowd and stuff, and hopefully I pulled it off okay, but there was a lot on my mind.”
